The Vice president of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osibanjo , Since Tuesday May 9, 2017, have been the co-coordinating president.
Nigerians have reacted to the news that ailing President Muhammadu Buhari omitted to mention that Vice President Yemi Osibanjo will be an acting president in his letters to the National Assembly on his departure on indefinite medical leave. “It is time for us to decide: do we have a nation of equals or not? If not let us break it and go our separate ways”,Osibanjo said.
Still on that Tuesday the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara read the separate but identical worded letters they received from Mr. Buhari during the plenary of both houses of the National Assembly.
